Job Description

Are you passionate about enhancing the quality of health services and improving patient outcomes? We are seeking a motivated Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Officer to join our team, a leading provider of health services dedicated to the wellbeing of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate our CQI programs in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate CQI activities using the 'Plan Do Study Act' (PDSA) methodology to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and education on CQI tools and methodology, facilitating training sessions to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure up-to-date policy development and procedural compliance.
  • Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on CQI activities to the Senior Management Team (SMT).

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant clinical qualifications (e.g., Aboriginal Health Worker or Registered Nurse).
  • Experience in clinical management within the Not-for-Profit, Community, or Health sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical quality improvement in primary healthcare.
  • Understanding of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and Indigenous Chronic Disease issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Current WA Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
