About the Role:
We are currently seeking a full time female Aboriginal Patient Transport Driver to join our team. The role involves transporting clients to and from medical appointments safely and respectfully, ensuring their wellbeing during the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport clients to and from health appointments, specialists, and other health services.
  • Assist patients in and out of the vehicle, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Provide support to patients during appointments when required.
  • Maintain accurate transport and vehicle logs, including mileage and maintenance records.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Health Services Manager and other staff to ensure smooth service delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Must identify as an Aboriginal person (as per Section 50D of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act).
  • Current WA driver’s license with an excellent driving history.
  • Current WA Working with Children’s check.
  • Current Police Clearance.
  • Willingness to undertake First Aid training.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a health or community services setting.
  • Familiarity with working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.
